Exterior painting is really exterior protection.
Paint is the first layer of defense on siding, trim, fascia, soffits, doors, shutters, and porch details. When it fails, Georgia sun and humidity get to the material underneath. That is when a repaint turns into wood repair, siding repair, or fascia replacement.
The paint itself matters, but prep matters more. Most premature failures trace back to surfaces that were not washed, loose paint that was not removed, bare areas that were not primed, or joints that were caulked after they were already wet. We slow down at those points because that is where the years are won or lost.
What is included in our exterior repaint process
A typical exterior painting project starts with pressure washing and dry time. From there, we scrape loose paint, sand rough transitions, spot-prime bare wood or exposed siding, replace failed caulk, mask windows and hardscapes, and protect landscaping. Only then do we apply finish coats.
We are careful with substrates. Fiber cement, older wood siding, vinyl-safe colors, metal doors, PVC trim, brick accents, and porch ceilings each have different prep and coating needs. Matching the product to the material is what keeps the finish from peeling, flashing, or looking uneven after the first season.
Color help without making the project complicated
Color choices can stall a good project. We help narrow the decision around roof color, brick tone, neighborhood context, light exposure, and resale goals. Once colors are selected, the written scope lists the body, trim, shutter, door, and accent colors so everyone is working from the same plan.
